What is Sea Moss?

Eucheuma and Gracilaria, is the scientific name, commonly known as ‘Sea Moss’. Sea moss is one of the six seaweeds safe to consume and packed with nutrients. It grows in variations of color and grows abundantly in warmer waters typically the Java Sea, Celebes Sea, Solomon Sea, Caribbean Sea, Atlantic, and Pacific Ocean.

There’s evidence of people using sea moss for nearly 14,000 years. In fact, it appears that people in China were using it back in 600 BC. Due to its large amount of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, sea moss is considered a superfood, and helps reduce the risk of chronic illness. This seaweed can be taken internally and externally.
